Transforming 28-30 Market Place – a much neglected eyesore – in the heart of our town.
Due to be completed early 2027
This project delivers eight one-bedroom affordable apartments for rent, ring-fenced for local people unable to access the private rental market. The rentals will be managed by Cornwall Housing Ltd. At street level there will be a refurbished retail unit prioritised for tenant(s) with strong local connections.

Market Place is part funded by the UK Government’s Towns Fund and Future High Streets Fund and supported by Cornwall Council and Penzance Town Deal Board. Cornwall Council is the Lead Authority for the Town Deal programme in Cornwall and supports the governance role of the Penzance Town Deal Board and the Fund administration.
